Netflix is bringing the bestselling
novel The Noel Diary to the big screen. This adaptation is directed by
Oscar-nominated Charles Shyer. He has previously directed films such as Alfie
and Private Benjamin. The script was written by Rebecca Connor and David
Golden, and the movie is produced by Stephanie Slack and Margret Huddleston.
Executive producers are Norman Stephens and David Hartley.
The film stars Justin Scott Hartley as
a hapless teenager who finds himself in a desperate situation. Hartley is an
established actor who has appeared in various television shows, including
"House" and "The Big Bang Theory." Hartley is also known
for playing the nerdy character of Jack.
This adaptation is set to premiere on
Netflix on November 24, 2022. Justin Hartley, Bonnie Bedelia, and Treat
Williams are set to star. Filming is expected to take place in Stamford,
Connecticut, and Vancouver, BC, Canada. While the film is still in the
development stage, local media reports have already seen production crews on
location.
